It is my pleasure to announce a new member of our Kincardine organization.
Branko Veljović will be assuming the role of Executive Director, Business and Basketball Development. You will notice an array of programs covering ages 4-14 being introduced this summer being led and developed by him.
Branko is an accomplished basketball professional- player, coach, and organizer.
Branko is a leader in developing basketball and he is working with a number of organizations including the Premier Basketball Association Canada, Jr. NBA Canada, Mississauga Monarchs, Kincardine Basketball in expanding the elite level of development of Canadians of all ages.
Branko played in Serbia professionally before getting a full scholarship in USA, coached by Tim Gray (Hoop Dreams movie) at Mineral Area College. After graduating at MAC he continued playing Division 1 basketball at HLGU. After moving to Canada, Branko returned to the basketball scene in 2013 after the National Basketball League was formed and he was drafted by Mississauga pro team at age 29.
In 2015 during PANAM events, Branko through his Premier Basketball Association organized a number of international matches where Canadian players played friendly matches against national teams of Mexico and Brazil.
He had an active role with Mississauga in 2016/2017 helping U11 girls win GOLD at the Ontario Cup.
With his wife Melissa he enjoys spending time on and off the court with his 3 kids Anastasija, Katarina and Momčilo.
